Slurry seal is a mixture of asphalt emulsion, water, aggregate and additives. These materials are blended in a pug mill on a specially designed truck that also places the material. Slurry seal is applied in order to help preserve and protect the underlying pavement.
Slurry seal is able to fill minor cracks and voids, seal raveling areas while providing a uniform rich black pavement surface color. Economical to install and highly cost effective to use, slurry seal maintenance extends pavement life.
